Phantom Pleasures, by Julie Leto

I just finished this book and WOW. I wasn’t sure if I would like it after reading the back cover, but it was fantabulous. The book is about two very special people from two very different times.

Alexa Chandler is a woman on a mission. Her mission is to make her own mark in the company left to her after the tragic death of her father. She wants to be successful in her own right and has let that goal consume her life. Once a dreamer in search of a castle with a prince, she now only longs for business success. Until she inherits the deed to a castle on a “haunted” island from her father.

Damon Forsyth lived in London during the 1700s. The son of a noble man he lived a life of privilege, until a man he thought was a friend ran off with his sister. After charging into the home of Dragon, the man who had his sister, he is trapped by a curse that lasts 300 years before Alexa breaks it.

This story is filled with backstabbing, kidnapping, and mystery. With the help of Cat, Alexa’s best friend, and Ben, the son of a professor, the history of what happened to Damon and his family is unraveled.

This story is sexy, compelling, and Phantabulous!! (sorry – I know that is corny, but I had to do it!) I can’t wait for the next one in the series.
