House of Night series

Posted on April 30, 2008. Filed under: Paranormal | Tags: , , |

Marked (House of Night, Book 1), Betrayed (House of Night, Book 2), Chosen (House of Night, Book 3) by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

Zoey Redbird is a fledgling vampyre. She has moved into the House of Night, a finishing school for vampyres, where she can learn about what she is becoming. But things aren’t going to be easy for Zoey. Friends, boyfriends, and teachers are as important now as when she was human, but she also has to deal with the Dark Daughters, Full Moon Ceremonies, and family members who don’t like what she is becoming.

I am really having a hard time with the synopsis, not wanting to give to much away. I read all three books in two days and cannot wait for the fourth book. I loved the series. I am from Broken Arrow so all of the sights and sounds of Zoey’s world were familiar. The changes made to our world were perfectly done. The details that make the two worlds work together were so real, that I couldn’t put the books down.

Zoey’s life changes so dramatically from book one to book three that you can’t help but feel what she is going through. The vampyre race that the Cast’s have created is very interesting. It is unlike any other I have read. The vampyre’s seem to be more Wiccan than the traditional vampyre.

The House of Night Series Website has all sorts of interesting activities, plot synopsis, character bios, and more!!
